As important as listings are in the residential world of real estate, you can never forget the value found in a buyer. At Nicol Real Estate we owe so much of our industry success to the incredible families, couples and individuals that chose us to represent them in the purchase of their home. Wether it’s a first time buyer looking to enter the market or a family that has outgrown their current home, buyers are very important to us and have been the foundation of what our business has been built on. In the past 5 years we have completed 93 transactions in which we have represented the buyers.
The Bristol Family
The Bristol family purchased their first home with us, back in 2016. Then newlyweds now have a beautiful baby boy and it has been a wonderful opportunity to help their family start their life together.
“We worked with Scot when purchasing our first home and had an exceptional experience! Originally in our search, we worked with another Realtor and although she was nice, she was not very knowledgeable about the area we were looking to buy in; she also did not have the connections with the local agents we were looking for. We started our search again with these objectives in mind and were so pleased to have found Scot!
Scot did a wonderful job of managing my many questions about neighborhoods, negotiating and what is most important to be looking for in a first home – i.e. space to grow, potential to add on, school, etc. He also had a great handle on what was developing locally. Giving my husband the piece of mind he was looking for in our first big, long-term investment.
After we purchased the house, Scot helped us find our Architect to do a small addition and our General Contract! Both of which have been amazing to work with!
I would recommend Scot to anyone looking for a intentional and knowledgeable real estate agent! And also – he’s just a great guy!
Josh, Melissa & Jack Jack
We represented The Train family on the sale of their first home and the purchase of their new home in 2017. There are many reasons to find joy in what we do, but helping Josh and Melissa find just the right home for their little dude was something we hold near and dear.
“Working with Scot to sell our home and buy a new one could not have been a smoother or better experience! Scot found our new house for us based on preliminary discussions about the type of home we were looking for in the long term for our family situation. He was patient with us as we passed on previous homes that didn’t quite meet our needs as we would like. And once we found this house, he helped us see our family living in this house for many years to come! Scot is so easy to work with, amazingly responsive and worked hard to address our concerns throughout the entire process. He helped to coordinate between the sale and the purchase to ensure a seamless transition and move for our family from one house to the next. He has gone above and beyond to help us transform our new purchase into a home that truly reflects our family life. We couldn’t be happier with our new home and our experience working with Scot. Scot, we owe you much gratitude for our new home and all the great memories we anticipate in the years to come. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
We first met Shari and Andrew Wilson back in 2015. Little did we know, this gorgeous couple that loves to surf would be in our lives for the long haul (or the long board). Shari and Andrew were looking for a property with a ton of potential. They wanted an A+ location in El Segundo where they could set down some roots and remodel. Everything happens for a reason, and after a long search, we found The Wilson’s a perfect fixer in a perfect location.
“After my wife and I decided that we would start the seemingly overwhelming process of looking for our first house, we randomly found Scot through a Zillow inquiry. Within 30 minutes of an initial email, he gave us a call on a Saturday night to start talking through the home purchasing process from start to finish and spent over an hour with us. Initially leery of real estate agents being pushy and overly selling, I thought Scot would start throwing properties at us and pressing us to put in offers. Quite the contrary, Scot told us that he wanted us to start attending open houses with him to get a sense of the market, but that he realized we might not make a real offer for some time.
Scot is in the business for the long term relationship, not a quick commission. He was never slow to tell us that a property was overvalued or describe the downsides to living in a specific part of town as we were touring a house. It felt like he treated our home purchase as if it were his money and that it would be his property to live in post closing, which took a lot of stress out of incredibly important decision.
After 5-6 months of looking, we had gone to probably 50 open houses and put in a couple of unsuccessful bids but he never lost energy in our process and kept us positive that we would find the house that was right for us…and he was right. We found a place that hit all of our criteria, and in consultation with Scot, we put in a bid to win. Scot’s service then kicked into an even higher gear as he babystepped us through the financing, inspection and closing process, which was tricky due to a situation with the sellers. He has even helped us post closing by finding contractors for us and regularly checks in to make sure we are getting everything we need.
My wife and I couldn’t be more thrilled with Scot’s service and would be happy to refer him to anyone that is starting the home buying process. Not only is he trustworthy and thoughtful for his clients, but he transforms a stressful process into a fun experience by keeping a lively and energetic attitude at all times of the day.”
